Chisinau, 1 June /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici conveyed a congratulatory message on International Day for Protection of Children today, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The message reads as follows:
„Annually, on the first day of summer, we celebrate the International Children’s Day. The 1 June day is not only a holiday of children, but also of those nearby them, by helping them to grow up as valuable citizens of the nation and country. This is a very special occasion to experience again the special moments of childhood, to turn over the inexhaustible pages of the memory about the most beautiful period in the life of a man.
The 1 June is the day when we have to be aware once again that children represent the true wealth of a state. The care for a happy childhood, for the well-being of children has to be the priority task of a nation, and, first of all, of the government. We need well-educated, protected, healthy and happy looking children. The tear of a hungry or tortured child has to be a very tough sanction for the state. That is why, everybody has a sacred duty: to make our children happy!
The day of 1 June is not just a holiday for children, but also a warning of society as to the need to protect the child’s rights. Moldovan children are protected by the legal framework on their rights both at international and national levels. By ratifying the United Nations Convention for the Rights of the Child, Moldova committed to protect children of any type of discrimination, to provide them with a good social security and optimal conditions for developing harmoniously. The child’s rights are defended by the Family Code, Law on rights of child, as well as a string of legal and normative documents.
On this day, I would like us not to forget about children who lack the parent warmness, the sweat talk of the mother and the good night story. They need a special support, as they are our children as well. Each of us, the adults, is obliged to involve, so that they do not remain isolated in this world.
Dear parents, the childhood is the most beautiful time in the life and children – the biggest present we get. Daily, we have to recharge this axiom of life, by giving the children a bright future.
Happy holiday, dear children and parents! Let’s fully be happy with our children!”
