Russian service announces cancellation of embargo for two Moldovan wineries

Chisinau, 2 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service, Rosspotrebnadzor, today informed, in a press release ,that it was willing to cancel the embargo for two Moldovan wine-making companies, the production of which was "safe and of quality".
To resume the export on the Russian market, the two companies will present wine samples for expertise at the Service's authorized laboratories.
Rosspotrebnadzor pointed out that, in January-May 2015, 445 consignments of wine, containing 4.8 million liters, had been delivered from southern Gagauzia and Transnistrian regions to Russia.
Presently, only a few wineries from Gagauzia and Transnistrian region can export production to Russia. On 10 September 2013, Russia banned the wine import from Moldova, for reasons of an alleged non-compliance with the quality requirements.
