Three Moldovans detained for robbery in Netherlands

Chisinau, 4 June /MOLDPRES/- Three Moldovans were detained by the Dutch police together with the Moldovan one for committing robberies in east Netherlands, resulting in death.
At a today's news conference, Prosecutor Corneliu Plesca said that the offense occurred in early July 2014. The three suspects would have entered the house of two Dutch, husband and wife, and immobilised them by applying adhesive tape.
The prosecutor said the suspects would have have stolen goods worth 570 euros and 250 euros in cash. After committing the offense, one of the victims, the husband, died of asphyxiation. He was 52 years old and was entrepreneur.
"One of the three Moldovans was located and arrested in Russia, the second one - in France, and the third one is in Moldova and was arrested for 30 days", Plesca said.
Plesca also said that the suspects had not known the victims beforehand, and their home was chosen at random.
The three Moldovans are 28-29 years old. Some of them have been previously convicted for robbery in more states of Europe. The citizen who is in Moldova will be punished by the Moldovan authorities, running the risk of up to 12 years of imprisonment.
The other two Moldovans are to be punished by Dutch authorities.
