Chisinau, 4 June /MOLDPRES/- The British Embassy in Chisinau today launched a site on the EU projects in Moldova, EUprojects.md. At the same time, a photo album on EU projects in Moldova was launched for the first time ever.
"Although, over the past years, the foreign assistance from EU has increased, people know a little about where the money is used, who earmarked it and how it was spent. The purpose of the album and site is to provide truthful information about the results of the projects implemented with European money and to encourage Moldovans to apply for different projects and grant offers", Head of EU Delegation to Moldova, Pirkka Tapiola, said.
The album includes information on projects implemented in Moldova with European money and the way the projects changed the life of communities. The first issue of the album comprises 19 projects on education, health, entrepreneurship promotion, agriculture and other sectors. The album was published in three languages and will be distributed free of charge in mayoralties, district councils, banks and other public institutions.
EUprojects.md is a website dedicated to the EU-funded projects carried out in Moldova. The site is accessible starting from today in two languages- Romanian and English.
EUprojects.md and the album are part of a social awareness campaign, titled "See for yourself the support of the European Union in Moldova," carried out with joint funding by the embassies of the United Kingdom, Sweden, Romania, Latvia and USA, with the participation of the EU Delegation.
