Group of Peace Corps volunteers arrive in Moldova

Chisinau, 4 June /MOLDPRES/ - A group of 69 American Peace Corps volunteers arrived in Moldova on 3 June.
This is the 30th group of U.S. volunteers who will work for two years in villages and towns in Moldova within programmes on teaching English, education for health, regional and organisational development, as well as promotion of rural business.
Before starting their missions, the volunteers will have a ten-week training course, during which they will study Romanian or Russian and learn about the culture of Moldova.
The Peace Corps is a U.S. governmental organisation, created in 1961 and aimed at promoting peace and friendship among nations. Peace Corps has been carrying out its activity in Moldova since 1993.
