Moldova transmits PABSEC's presidency to Romania

Chisinau, 10 June /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today transmitted the presidency of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) to Romania.
Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu said the PABSEC's main goal was to guarantee prosperity and stability of the member states and that now it was more important to strengthen the economic relations within PABSEC and to benefit from its opportunities.
The head of the Romanian parliamentary delegation, Vlad Nistor, said that it was a honor for his country to take over the PABSEC's presidency.
"Romania will back all projects meant to maintain prosperity and democracy in the Black Sea area, to turn to good account sources, to cooperate with other regional structures and to honor opportunities provided by policies and instruments of PABSEC. We are set to promote and consolidate identity of the assembly's profile as a cooperation actor at regional, national and international levels," he said.
Moldova held the PABSEC presidency for the first half of 2015. The 46th session of PABSEC will be held in Bucharest on 26-27 November.
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, set up in 1993, includes 12 member states - Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Turkey, Serbia and Ukraine.
