Former premier votes for Moldova to get out of dramatic situation

Chisinau, 14 June /MOLDPRES/ - The leader of the European People’s Party (PPE) of Moldova, Iurie Leanca, today voted for that Moldova to get out of „the dramatic situation it founds, created by the deep political and social crisis”.
Leanca came to the polling station located in Ialoveni town, where the former prime minister resides, at 11:00.
„I voted in order to return to the European path. Today is the day when the citizens, by their vote, may bring Moldova back to Europe, in the good and prosperous world,” a press release by EPP reads.
Iurie Leanca is 52 years old and has served previously as prime minister of Moldova. In March 2015, he founded and launched the European People’s Party of Moldova.
Over 2.8 million voters are expected to participate in the elections today.
