Participation quota in local general elections in Moldova exceeds 27 per cent at 13:00

Chisinau, 14 June /MOLDPRES/ - All Moldovan electoral bureaus work in normal regime and, at 13:00, the quota of participation of voters was of over 27 per cent. The head of the Central Electoral Commission, Iurie Ciocan, has informed about this at a briefing.
Ciocan said that the highest participation quota of almost 70 per cent was recorded in Pocrovca village, northern Donduseni district. The lowest rate of participation was recorded by the Soroca electoral bureau, where about 4 per cent of electors came to voting.
„In Chisinau electoral district, 21 per cent of voters voted till midday. The participation quota in Balti city is of 23 per cent,” Ciocan said.
The citizens will elect 898 mayors and 11,680 local councillors at the today elections.
