Moldovan army servicemen participate in two international exercises in Romania, Germany

Chisinau, 16 June /MOLDPRES/ - Two National Army contingents are participating in multinational exercises in Germany and Romania.

Ala Diaconu, spokeswoman for the National Army commander, has told MOLDPRES that a contingent made up 41 soldiers participated in the Mission Readiness Exercise, held at the Hohenfels military training centre in Germany on 10-30 June.

Diaconu specified that the Moldovan military would carry out patrolling missions, medical evacuation, guarding checkpoints, practical actions to detect improvised or known explosive objects and evacuation of the wounded from the minefield along with their colleagues from Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Slovenia, USA, Ukraine and Hungary. The National Army has been participating in applications in Germany since 2012.

Another contingent of the National Army takes part in a multinational exercise, ROUSOFEX 15, held in Constanta, Romania on 16 – 26 June.

The exercise brings together about 1,500 servicemen from Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Poland, Romania, USA and Turkey, and its purpose is to train Special Operations Forces in planning, organizing, managing and carrying out a special independent operation.
