Moldovan foreign minister attends meeting of foreign ministers of Visegrad Group, Eastern Partnership

Chisinau, 12 April /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, attended today in Warsaw the meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Visegrad Group and Eastern Partnership (V4+EaP), the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The event was attended as guests Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations and the foreign ministers of Sweden, Croatia, Romania and Estonia.
The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation on transport and infrastructure connections of the EaP countries, but also between Central and Eastern Europe. Minister Andrei Galbur pledged to ensure, in the context of the EaP, a major financial support to transport infrastructure development and facilitating access partner countries of the EU transport market.
At the end of the meeting, V4 ministers adopted a joint declaration reaffirming their strong support for the Eastern Partnership as a strategic dimension of EU foreign policy, guidelining a number of priorities for cooperation for the development and strengthening of the Eastern Partnership.
The Ministerial meeting version V4+EaP was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland in the context of holding the rotating presidency of the Visegrad Group.
