Chisinau, 27 April /MOLDPRES/- Officers of the National Anti-corruption Centre (CNA) today conducted searches at several addresses, where officials of the Transport and Road Infrastructure Ministry live, and at the headquarters of the State Road Administration.
CNA spokeswoman Angela Starinschi noted that the officers raided the office of the head of the State Road Administration, Veaceslav Teleman. He was detained and escorted to the CNA. “The searches take place in a criminal case on corruption, which also includes projects funded by the European funds”, Starinschi said.
Also, CNA leadership announced that deputy mayor of Chisinau Nistor Grozavu, suspected of involvement in paid parking file, will be placed under house arrest for 30 days. The reason invoked by prosecutors is that he collaborated with the criminal investigation body and made statements providing important information for the investigation as regards the scheme organization and its beneficiaries.
