Moldovan capital referendum registers voters' turnout of 13.55 per cent by 04:00 p.m.

Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/ – Over 85 thousand citizens participated in referendum on the revocation of the mayor general by 16:00. The announcement was made by deputy chairman of Chisinau constituency electoral Council, Vitalie Miron, in a press briefing today.
According to the quoted source, most voters are from Botanica sector of Chisinau, followed by sectors Rascani, Centru, Buiucani and Ciocana. "In suburbs, lowest turnout is in Cruzesti and highest in Sangera. More women than men represented at ballot boxes. The total number of voters is 13.55 per cent of voters‘ total number. Over 3,100 people are 18 – 25 years of age, 13,673 are 26 – 40, 19,014 are 41 – 55, 34,776 are 56 – 70 and 14,732 are over 70." said Vitalie Miron.
He also told that "District Electoral Council has not filed any objections by now, and other deviations of the electoral process have not been identified."
There were opened 307 polling sections in Chisinau municipality. The total number of printed bulletins for referendum is over 632 thousand, for which it was spent MDL 98 thousand.
