Moldova, United Arab Emirates sign two bilateral treaties

Chisinau, 30 January /MOLDPRES/- Moldova and the United Arab Emirates signed two documents today to strengthen bilateral relations. The agreement between the government of Moldova and United Arab Emirates on economic and technical cooperation was signed to boost economic cooperation and set new spheres of cooperation, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The document provides for the development of partnership in the following areas: trade in goods and services, investment, industry, agriculture, infrastructure, environment, energy, education, information technology and financial and banking sector. At the same time, the sides agreed on establishment of the Moldovan-Emirates joint economic commission. This will help boost bilateral economic relations.
Also, the memorandum of understanding on bilateral political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries was signed. The document will help strengthen partnership relations in areas of mutual interest and set an inter-institutional cooperation mechanism between the two states.
At present, four bilateral treaties are signed between the government of Moldova and United Arab Emirates in the aviation, economic, investment and diplomatic sectors.
