Liechtenstein Principality to continue backing projects in education sector in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Principality of Liechtenstein will continue supporting projects in the education sector and training of young people from Moldova. Prime Minister of the Principality of Liechtenstein Adrian Hasler made statements to this effect at a news conference held jointly with PM Pavel Filip in Chisinau today.
The two officials said that, at the meeting, they had discussed the bilateral relations on development, business environment and investment potential of Liechtenstein.
“Our countries established diplomatic ties in 2001. Since then, we have been ascertaining a positive boosting of the political dialogue, as well as in other fields of development. We appreciated much the work of the Liechtenstein Development Service in Moldova, through which numerous projects were implemented in the education field, employment of young people and entrepreneurship. Education is a priority for the current government and we want to exchange experience between the two states for a well-developed education system. The today’s visit is a new stage in the relations of our countries, within which you will make sure of the good carrying out of joint projects,” Pavel Filip said.
For his part, prime minister of the Principality of Liechtenstein said that that there was a nice friendship and a lasting partnership between the two countries. “Starting from 2005, we have had a nice cooperation in the development sector. We signed an agreement on humanitarian assistance and technical collaboration. This agreement expresses solidarity and support between our countries. The education and training of young people is a priority sector for us; therefore, it represents a central field in the cooperation between the two states. On the period of cooperation between our countries, 12 million euros has been invested in the implementation of joint projects and we are set to further contribute to the support of key fields,” Adrian Hasler said.
Prime Minister of the Principality of Liechtenstein Adrian Hasler pays an official visit to Moldova on 12-13 March. During his stay in Moldova, Adrian Hasler will visit several units benefiting from financing on behalf of the Liechtenstein Development Service. This is the first visit to Moldova by a prime minister of Liechtenstein.
