Two persons drown in river of Moldova

Chisinau, 07 August /MOLDPRES/ – Two persons drowned in the Dniester river while they were swimming on 06 August.
Interviewed by agency, press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), Liliana Puscasu said that in the first case a 66-year-old man lost his life while swimming in the Dniester river near village Sanatauca in Floresti district. "The person's body was taken out on the same day by a team of divers from Balti," said Puscasu.
Also, another 52-year-old man drowned during swimming in the Dniester river near village Cosnita in Dubasari district, being drunk. "The saviors carried out underwater searches, but the inanimate body has not yet been found," said quoted source.
The specialists of IGSU urge citizens to go swimming only to rivers and lakes set up with rescue stations, not to drink alcohol before swimming, and strictly supervise minors.
According to IGSU's data, since the beginning of 2018, there drowned 47 people, including nine children, in water basins of Moldova.
