Parliament awards given on Independence Day

Chisinau, 27 August /MOLDPRES/- A group of personalities, with remarkable results in various fields of activity, was decorated today by Andrian Candu, Parliament Speaker, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The distinctions of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova were given to the personalities who have made a remarkable contribution to promoting the image of the state, culture, development and reforms. "Democracy Medal", honorary diplomas and first degree diplomas of the Parliament were awarded at the official ceremony organized by Parliament on Independence Day.
"They are the heroes of the Republic of Moldova, people who every day, through their actions, put their shoulders to the country to develop. They are the heroes of the day, which have helped Moldova become more independent and richer,” he said.
Among the winners of awards Parliament 2018 are the academics Nicolae Dabija and Ion Ababii, the sports master Petru Caduc, the doctors Tatiana Ghidirimschi and Galina Rosca, the Ambassador Victor Moraru, the teachers Ludmila Ursu and Maria Suceveanu, the musician Alex Calancea.
Parliament's awards were established in 2017.
