More than 8,000 lease contracts registered at State Fiscal Service of Moldova since early 2019

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/ - More than 8,200 contracts on lease, rent of real estate were registered at the State Fiscal Service (SFS) in the first eight months of 2019.

As a result, revenues worth 14.1 million lei were collected in the budget, by 4.1 million lei more against the ones accumulated in the same period of the last year, - up by 41.3 per cent.

As many as 3,710 private people leasing/renting real estate without contracts registered were identified on the period January-August this year. At the same time, 437 controls of private persons leasing real estate were carried out, with the following payments for the budget additionally calculated: basic payments – 523,500 lei, penalties – 25,200 lei and fines – 77,300 lei.

Under the legislation, the citizens letting out real estate are obliged to register the lease contracts at SFS and pay a seven-per cent tax from the incomes got. Those who fail to comply run the risk of paying fines and being sanctioned.
