Chisinau, 20 September /MOLDPRES/- The legislative decisions on the approval of the lifting of the parliamentary immunity of MPs Reghina Apostolova and Marina Tauber were published today in the Official Journal of Moldova.
The parliament approved on 16 September the request of acting Prosecutor General Dumitru Robu to lift the parliamentary immunity of MPs Marina Tauber and Reghina Apostolova. They are suspected of being involved in bank fraud. "In the criminal prosecution were given evidence indicating the reasonable suspicion that Apostolova and Tauber, from August 17, 2012, actively participated in the devaluation of the financial institution, actions expressed by granting assistance in taking over control of a bank in the interest of the group organized and led by Ilan Șor, thus actively participating in the fraud of the banking system. At present, the need to carry out urgent actions for criminal prosecution regarding Tauber and Apostolova has been identified, " Robu said.
A month ago, MP Ilan Shor was also without parliamentary immunity, following a request by interim prosecutor.
