Moldovan parliament speaker meets speaker of Hungary's National Assembly

Chisinau, 24 September /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Zinaida Grecianii has thanked Hungary for support and spoke out for a more active cooperation on the economic and parliamentary dimensions, at a meeting with Speaker of Hungary’s National Assembly László Kövér, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
Zinaida Greceanii stressed that Moldova was promoting a balanced foreign policy, noting that the authorities’ position was to look for points of common interest both in cooperation with the domestic and foreign partners. Grecianii invited representatives of the Hungarian business to Moldova and opted for extending the commercial and economic cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, the speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly highlighted the full support on behalf of his country for Moldova both at the bilateral level and within the European Union. According to Kövér, there are moments in history when it is necessary to unite forces; this thing is not easy to achieve; yet, Moldova managed to do this. The Hungarian official said that Hungary was a reliable partner for Moldova and invited the Moldovan parliament speaker to pay an official visit to Budapest.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Forum of Parliament Speakers from Eurasian Countries, titled, Greater Eurasia: Dialogue. Trust. Partnership., held in the the Nur-Sultan city, Kazakhstan, on 23-24 September.
Attending the meeting were Deputy Parliament Speakers Mihail Popsoi and Alexandru Slusari. Parliament speakers from 65 countries of Europe and Asia, as well as leaders of 14 important international and inter-parliamentary organizations participate in the Forum of Parliament Speakers from the Eurasian Countries, Greater Eurasia: Dialogue. Trust. Partnership.
