Moldovan electoral body sets number of ballot papers for new parliamentary polls for electoral districts No 48, 50

Chisinau, 24 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today established the number of ballot papers for the new parliamentary polls due on 20 October 2019 for the uninominal electoral districts No 48 and 50.
Under the CEC’s ruling, 70,000 and, respectively, 310,950 ballot papers will be printed for the two electoral districts.
As many as 3,000 ballot papers, to a great extent, will be distributed for each polling station from the electoral district No 48. In the case of the electoral district No 50, the ballot papers will be distributed proceeding from the estimative number of voters established based on the information presented by the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry and the one gained by CEC; yet, not more than 5,000 ballot papers will be printed for each polling station.
All ballot papers printed will be distributed to the uninominal district electoral councils and will subsequently be sent to the electoral bureaus of the polling stations.
At a meeting held last week, CEC approved the model of the ballot papers for the general local elections and the new parliamentary polls due on 20 October 2019.
