Euro, U.S dollar to appreciate against Moldovan leu

Chisinau, 24 September /MOLDPRES/ - The euro and the U.S. dollar will appreciate by 0.03 leu each on 25 September, according to the official exchange rates unveiled by the National Bank of Moldova (BNM).    

Thus, the dollar will cost 17.71 lei and the euro – 19.46 lei.

As for the Romanian leu, BNM established an official price similar to the one recorded today – 4.09 lei. The Ukrainian hryvnia will have the same tendency and will cost, in continuation, 0.72 lei. The Russian rouble’s value will stay unchanged – 0.27 lei.

According to the data presented by BNM, in August 2019, the degree of coverage of the net demand of currency on behalf of economic agents by the net supply of currency stood at 106.8 per cent, against 96.3 per cent in last July. The net supply of currency on behalf of private people increased by 20 million dollars (+9.9 per cent) against July 2019, and the net demand of currency on behalf of economic agents decreased by 1.9 million dollars (-0.9 per cent). In these conditions, BNM intervened by net procurements of currency amounting to 9.8 million dollars.
