Chisinau, 25 September /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and the Environment announced it has identified a buyer in the Russian Federation who is willing to purchase tens of tons of Moldovan apples and grapes. Under these conditions, the small producers in our country are urged to join in order to be able to market their goods.
According to Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Georgeta Mincu, the economic agent operates on the market in Ural and Siberia and is willing to procure 40 tons of apples and 40 tons of grapes monthly.
"The transport of apples and grapes must be organized by the manufacturer. The market has laboratories, which issue the necessary documents based on ANSA certificates. Please send your offers, we encourage small producers of apples and grapes to join, "said Georgeta Mincu.
Last year, several producers of grapes and apples in our country complained that they have nowhere to market their goods and risk incurring considerable losses. In these circumstances, the authorities and the relevant associations tried to identify solutions to diversify markets.
This year, in Moldova a global grape production of 700 thousand tons is forecast, compared to 730 thousand tons in 2018.
