Moldova Presents exhibition first ever staged in Baia Mare city of Romania

Chisinau, 27 September /MOLDPRES/ - The exhibition titled, Republic of Moldova Presents, is held in the Baia Mare city of Romania for the first time ever. The event, which brings together about 35 Moldovan companies, started today and will end on 29 September.   

Wine-makers, handicraftsmen and native economic agents in the agro-food and textile sectors participate in the exhibition.  

According to the deputy president of Moldova’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Mihai Bilba, the event is expected to be a far-reaching one, as a result of the progress recorded in Iasi last week. “Exactly one week ago, Republic of Moldova Presents was conquering consumers from Iasi, with goods of over 50 Moldovan companies. Today, along with about 35 companies, we are in Maramures, not only in order to present the products and services our country is proud of, but also to find new cooperation partners,” Mihai Bilba said.     

An international business forum, Moldova-Romania-Ukraine-Hungary-Slovakia, is held within the event.

The exhibition is organized by Moldova’s CCI, in partnership with the National Office of Vine and Wine, Chamber of Commerce and Industry from Maramures, with the support of the Maramures County Council. Similar exhibitions have been earlier staged in Iasi, Brasov and Ploiesti. About 550 companies participated in these exhibitions and over 100 cooperation contracts were signed on the export of dry fruits, fruits in chocolate, wines.
