Nine persons injured in traffic accident in Chisinau remain put in Emergency Hospital

Chisinau, 01 October /MOLDPRES/ – Nine persons, traumatised in the accident in Buiucani sector, remain hospitalised at the Emergency Hospital (SU), two of them are in serious condition. The info was presented during a briefing by the management of the Emergency Medicine Institute (IMU) in Chisinau municipality.

According to medical deputy director, Igor Curov, after the accident of 30 September, there were hospitalised urgently 25 persons: 15 women and 10 men. The youngest patient is 19 years old and the oldest is 67 years old. All the victims of the accident received medical assistance, and 09 persons were admitted for treatment.  

According to the source, the driver of Porsche model car and a 51 – year – old woman are hospitalised to intensive care. "The driver is in an extremely serious condition, has undergone critical polytrauma and is undergoing intensive treatment, being connected to guided breathing apparatus," said doctor.

The second woman continues treatment in the resuscitation unit. She suffered complicated chest trauma and bilateral pulmonary contusion. "Her condition remains serious, but stable," added doctor.

The other 07 patients are hospitalised with associated trauma, but their condition is satisfactory.

The accident after which 28 persons were traumatised and 01 passenger died, took place on Monday, 30 September, at the intersection of Boulevard Alba Iulia with street Onisifor Ghibu in Buiucani sector of Chisinau municipality. A 33 – year – old driver of Porsche Cayenne drove into a trolley – bus going on route №21 and pushed it onto sidewalk.
