President of Moldova meets Kyrgyz counterpart

Chisinau, 01 October /MOLDPRES/ – In Yerevan, President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, has had a meeting with President of Kyrgyztan, Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
According to the presidency’s press service, the officials discussed various issues on bilateral relations and noted the interaction of Moldova and Kyrgyzstan at the level of heads of state and within international platforms, such as CIS and EU. In the context, Igor Dodon mentioned that the collaboration relations of Moldova and Eurasian Economic Union (UEE) were established at the Bishkek summit, which took place in April, 2017.
Approaching the subject of commercial – economic relations, the interlocutors were unanimous in the opinion on the necessity to intensify them and make full use of existing potential. Also, the President of Moldova specified that Kyrgyzstan is interested in importing Moldovan goods, in particular, agricultural products, and for Chisinau it is of interest the experience of Bishkek in relation to Eurasian Fund for Stability and Development (FESD).
Also, Igor Dodon mentioned that Moldova and Kyrgyzstan consider it important to strengthen the dialogue at executive and legislative levels, as well as resume the activity of the Intergovernmental Commission (CI) for trade – economic cooperation.
Igor Dodon addressed to Sooronbay Jeenbekov the invitation to pay an official visit to Moldova in 2020. In turn, the leader of Kyrgyzstan invited the President of Moldova to pay a visit to Bishkek.
