Moldova must promote balanced foreign policy between East, West - president says

Chisinau, 2 October /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon delivered a speech at an enlarged meeting of the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Union, during which he briefly informed heads of the EUEA member states, leaders of Iran and Singapore about developments in economy, trade, domestic and foreign policy of Moldova, the presidential press service has reported.
The head of state noted that Moldova's getting observer status within the EUEA in May 2018 had a positive impact on the export of Moldovan goods to the market in the Russian Federation, Belarus and other EU states. In this context, Dodon thanked the partners for their support and expressed confidence in extending trade-economic relations.
At the same time, the president informed those present about the cardinal transformations in the political life of the Republic of Moldova, the policy of the new government, which is supported by the majority of the population and by the external partners. Dodon pointed out that there were great opportunities for our country on economic development, raising living standards of people and promoting a balanced foreign policy between East and West without involving in the geopolitical games.
