Moldova willing consolidated dialogue with European Union in defence, security sector

Chisinau, 2 October /MOLDPRES/ - The state secretary at the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE), Tatiana Molcean, has said that the authorities were willing “a consolidated and structured dialogue with the European Union in the defence and security sector. ”
Molcean made statements to this effect at a today’s national conference titled, Permanent Structured Cooperation of EU in the security and defence sector: implications and opportunities for Moldova. The event is organized by the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), in cooperation with and with the support of the Hanns Seidel Foundation.
The Moldovan official stressed that MAEIE expected European officials to work out, as soon as possible, the criteria of cooperation in the defence and security field for the third countries, Eastern Partnership members, in order to start pilot projects with European Union member states.
