Chisinau, 2 October /MOLDPRES/ - Teachers speak out for the working out of a law on the protection of teacher. The draft might determine, in particular, the ceasing of the teachers leaving the system and motivating young specialists to work in this sector. In the beginning of the meeting, the state secretary of the Education, Culture and Research Ministry, Valentina Chicu, said that the today’s discussion might change many things just at the institutions where the teachers attending the event are working. “This is an opportunity for you, who are the best of the best, to help also the others become equally good. I hope that we will be able to provide a quality education, with your help,” Chicu noted.
The teachers proposed the making of video spots of even TV programmes about successful stories in the lives of teachers, in order to re-establish the image of teachers, raise the residents’ awareness and “prove that the teacher is the one who creates the future in a society.”
At the same time, the participants in the event opted for the elimination of the excessive bureaucratization of teacher’s work and for improving the technical and material basis of the education institutions.
