Chisinau, 3 October /MOLDPRES/ - Two public car parks were inaugurated on the Bucuresti 30 and Nicolae Testemitanu 31 Streets from Chisinau. The two spaces have a capacity of almost 400 places and will be accessible only during the day-time. The opening of the two car parks takes place within a project initiated by the Interior Ministry (MAI), in partnership with the Chisinau city hall.
Attending the inauguration event were the MAI state secretary, Ianus Erhan, the acting general mayor of Chisinau, Adrian Talmaci and the leadership of the General Inspectorate of Carabineers.
According to Ianus Erhan, the two car parks will be accessible during 7:00-19:00 and will be guarded by carabineers.
„The space on the address Bucuresti 30 belongs to carabineers and has not been used ever since 2008. Colleagues from patrol will be present at the two car parks on the first days; they will re-direct transport means and will distribute folders, so that all those who park know the rules. Employees of the General Inspectorate of Carabineers, who will also ensure security, in order to avoid unpleasant incidents, will provide the access,” Erhan noted.
The acting general mayor of the Moldovan capital, Adrian Talmaci, said that the municipal authorities would provide the sanitation of the two car parks. He added that the two spaces would ease the traffic from the Centru district of Chisinau; yet, they are not enough.
