Moldovan MPs take note of report of inquiry commission of granting to concession of state enterprise Chisinau International Airport

Chisinau, 4 October /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs today took note of the report of the inquiry commission for assessing the way of preparing and carrying out of the granting to concession of the state enterprise Chisinau International Airport.  

The report was unveiled by the head of the aforementioned commission, Igor Munteanu, and in the end, the lawmakers put questions.  

Under the decision approved by the MPs today, the government should demand in court the cancellation of the contract on granting to concession and levy distraint on the entire heritage of the state managed by Avia Invest Limited Company, as well as on the company’s heritage.  

At the same time, the lawmakers asked the cabinet to submit an application on suing at law concerning the dissolution of the Avia Invest limited company.

Also, the MPs ruled that the parliament will demand that the government submits a criminal notification for the verification and investigation of the actions and inactions of the monitoring commission during 2013-2019 on the activity of monitoring the carrying out of the contract on granting to concession of the Chisinau International Airport. 

At the same time, the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry will make a technical and economic audit of the investments made by Avia Invest, in order to establish the real value of its assets, as well as the origin of the means used by Avia Invest during 2013-2019.  

The parliament today asked the Prosecutor General’s Office to check the way the modernization tax was introduced at the airport and to consider all documents and correspondence held between those involved in the tender on granting to concession, including through addressing rogatory commissions to Russia.
