Moldovan voters can request voting at venue commencing 05 October 2019

Chisinau, 05 October /MOLDPRES/ – Commencing 05 October until 19 October 2019, the voters can submit applications for voting at the venue for the elections of 20 October. The announcement was made by the Central Election Commission (CEC).

The electoral legislation stipulates that the voter, which for reasons of health condition or other solid reasons cannot come to polling station premises, can ask the electoral bureau to vote with the mobile ballot box. The applications are made in writing, starting a fortnight prior the day of voting and until 18:00 on the day before the vote. On the day of voting, the applications can be made in writing until 15:00, if it is presented a medical certificate.

The voters which are unable to submit personally the application, have the right to do so through a member of his family or request the help of the social worker within the mayor's office. The requests for voting at the place of visit by persons with visual disabilities can be made including in verbal form.

The mentioned persons vote according to the list of voters to vote at the place of the meeting, drawn up by the electoral bureau of polling station on the basis of submitted applications.
