Moldovan speaker attends award ceremony for best homemade wines

Chisinau, 7 October /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Zinaida Greceanîi attended on 6 October an award ceremony of the best homemade wines, organized during the National Wine Day, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
"It is a very beautiful tradition to promote our product - wine. With great pride I say every time that our wines are the best in the world and deserve to promote and consume them of course in moderation ”, the official said.
Greceanii congratulated the winning wine producers of the competition for the best homemade wine Golden barrel, wishing them success in continuing the tradition of wine production.
"It is our pride when we hear that our wines are up to China, so the state must help our domestic producers to promote wines not only in Moldova, but also abroad. We have producers who are so brave that, under no simple conditions, they can move forward and produce. Sincere congratulations to all! ”, Zinaida Greceanii said.
Before the ceremony, the speaker visited the winemakers' stands displayed in the Great National Assembly Square and congratulated them on National Wine Day. Greceanii spoke to them about the achievements and problems they encounter.
The competition is organized annually since 2002 by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova in order to highlight the tradition of producing quality homemade wine. The contest was attended by producers from most districts of the Republic of Moldova. Expert jury nominated eight winners.
The National Wine Day was held on 5-6 October.
