Owners still have one week to pay property tax

Chisinau, 8 October /MOLDPRES/- Owners of real estate still have one week to pay the second part of the property tax. The deadline in this regard will expire on 15 October.

Those who will not pay the tax on time, may be subject to a late payment increase, for each day of delay, for the period beginning after the tax due date and ending on the day of the payment. Thus, the delay increase for 2019 is set at 0.0329% per day.

According to the State Tax Service, 80% of property owners have paid the real estate tax and the land tax until June 30, 2019, benefiting from a 15% discount of the total tax. As a result, about 400 million lei was accumulated in the national public budget.

According to the Tax Code, the real estate tax is paid in the budget of the administrative-territorial unit, according to the place where the real estate is located, in two equal parts, to 15 August and 15 October respectively.
