Five candidates admitted to contest for office of director of Moldova's Customs Service

Chisinau, 9 October /MOLDPRES/ - Five candidates have been admitted to the contest for the office of director of the Customs Service (SV). These are Natalia Calenic, Sava Maimescu, Vladislav Svet, Iurie Gorea and Marin Gospodarenco. The contest commission took a decision to this effect today.
The commission checked the observance of the eligibility criteria by the candidates, as well as their professional reputation.
According to the Finance Ministry, the next stage will be the competition of contest files, which will be held at public meeting. The files of the candidates for the contest (CV, motivation letters and the concept of development suggested by each candidate) will be placed on the webpage of the Finance Ministry and Customs Service.
The contest for the position of director of the Customs Service was announced on 3 September 2019 and the deadline for the submission of files expired on 30 September. Twenty candidates registered for the contest, of whom 21 submitted their files in time and one candidate – after the term’s expiration.
The office remained vacant in late last June, when the former SV head, Vitalie Vrabie, ended his mandate.
