About 13,000 rental contracts registered at Moldova's State Fiscal Service in 2019

Chisinau, 13 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 13,217 rental contracts were registered at the State Fiscal Service (SFS) in 2019, with revenues worth 22.7 million lei collected to the budget, up by 38.3 per cent against the years before.     

According to the information published by SFS, during the last year, 5,344 private people were identified renting/letting out real estate without registration in line with the legislation.    

Also in 2019, controls were carried out at 648 private persons who let out rooms or dwellings and the following sums were additionally calculated at the budget: basic payments worth 715,200 lei, penalties amounting to 37,800 lei and fines worth 105,900 lei.  

In the context, the State Fiscal Service recommends that the people who let out real estate comply with the fiscal legislation and pay the tax of 7 per cent on the incomes got. The sum of the income tax is paid on the date of 2 of the current month at the latest or in advance. The people who fail to fulfill their obligations run the risk of being sanctioned in accordance with the Fiscal Code’s provisions.
