Moldovan literary critic's view on last year

Chisinau, 27 January /MOLDPRES/- For literary critic Alexandru Burlacu, professor, PhD in philology, 2020 was a year in which he was free in his cage. "In recent times, time flies. When we were younger, it was like going at a different speed. Today, with a lot of regrets, I think of 2020. I had planned a trip through Europe, a wedding in Spain, other invitations ", says the writer.
Writer Alexandru Burlacu says he has high hopes for this year.
He was born on 8 June 1954 in Chitai village, Chilia district, Ukraine. In 1977, he graduated from the State Pedagogical University Ion Creanga, Faculty of Letters.
In 1986, he performed his dissertation in philology, and in 2000 - PhD in philology. He was a scientific researcher, coordinator at the Institute of Literature and Folklore of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova. From 1995 to 2016, he was the head of the Department of Romanian Comparative Literature at the State Pedagogical University Ion Creanga.
He was awarded the honorary title Honored Man (2010), the Medal Civic Merit (2015) and several literary awards. Under the scientific coordination of the university professor Alexandru Burlacu, 16 doctoral theses were defended.
