Road workers ask drivers to avoid traveling so as not to impede snow removal

Chisinau, 27 January /MOLDPRES/- The State Road Administration (ASD) warns drivers to refrain from traveling, if they are not strictly necessary, to allow the smooth running of snow removal works on January 27-28, with the issuance by the State Hydrometeorological Service of the Orange Code of complicated weather conditions in the center and south of the country and the Yellow Code in the north of the country.

In the following days, snow and sleet will fall on large areas, icy roads and wind gusting up to 15-20 meters per second. According to ASD, under the conditions, patrol, anti-slip and snow removal works will be carried out on national public roads.

The ASD recommends drivers to be informed about the weather conditions and roadway route, in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulations in force on the equipment of the vehicle with tires for the winter period and permanent speed adaptation to traffic conditions.
