Czech Ambassador to Moldova awarded Order of Honor

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu handed today the Order of Honor to Zdeněk Krejčí, Czech Ambassador to Moldova on the end of his term, the presidential press service has reported.
The award was handed as a sign of high appreciation for the work carried out to strengthen political, economic and interpersonal relations between the two states, as well as for the support provided in Europeanization and Euro-integration of the Republic of Moldova.
"On behalf of myself and the Moldovan people, I would like to express my gratitude for your work and unconditional support that the Czech Republic has provided over the years. I want to mention, in particular, the social projects, which came directly to the aid of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova and the extraordinary solidarity reaction shown by the Czech Republic in 2020, providing protective and sanitary equipment for medical workers to fight against pandemic”, Sandu said.
In this context, the president noted that Moldova is one of six countries to which the Czech Republic gives special support for the international cooperation program, and Prague is among the 13 EU chancellors, signatories of a declaration calling on Brussels to help the Eastern Partnership member states to vaccinate people against Covid-19.
