Difficult conditions to run on routes in center, south of Moldova

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/- There are winter conditions on routes in the center and south of the country. Police crews accompany the trucks for snow removal, and five sections of road are blocked by snowdrifts. The military will also be involved in the snow removal, and in the last hours rescuers have unlocked 170 cars, including three ambulances and a bus.
According to the police, so far, five central routes to the localities are blocked: M-3 route Vulcănești - Slobozia Mare (Cahul district); the local route Cișmichioi village - Etulia village (Vulcănești district); route R-35- Vişniovca locality (Cantemir district); the R-35-Comrat-Basarabeasca route; route M-3- Burlăceni village. On the territory of the districts from the center of the country, the traffic on the R-31 route and towards 17 localities, the access roads Tudora, Palanca, Feștelița, Ștefănești, Volintiri, Copceac, Brezoaia, Semionovca, Purcari, Viișoara, Cioburciu, Căplani and Crocmaz is difficult.
About 30 cars are unable to move, and 78 trucks are blocked after they were banned from traveling.
Acting Defense Minister Victor Gaiciuc said he ordered the leadership of the National Army to mobilize the servicemen and technical units to participate in snow removal and unblocking works on national roads. Thus, mobile teams are formed in all military units, equipped with transport units ready to intervene to provide the necessary assistance.
In the last 24 hours, rescuers have unlocked 170 vehicles. They performed towing works on the routes from the districts of Ștefan Vodă, Căușeni, Cahul, Taraclia, UTA Găgăuzia, Anenii Noi, Criuleni, Cimișlia and Chisinau.
In Gagauzia, firemen unblocked 20 vehicles carrying 35 people, and in Cimislia, rescuers unblocked a bus on an international route, full of passengers.
