Several localities in center, south of Moldova disconnected from power

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/- In several localities in the south and center of the country, served by Premier Energy Distribution, since yesterday evening, there have been disconnections of electricity networks caused by broken conductors and short circuits in electrical installations. The damage was caused by heavy snow and strong wind.

Thus, this morning, electricity was partially or completely missing in 24 localities in Cantemir, Leova, Stefan Voda, Orhei, Ialoveni, Causeni, Anenii Noi, Comrat and Cahul.

"Unfortunately, in several localities the company's teams cannot intervene due to the lack of access, the roads were blocked by snow drifts. By the morning, the roads remain difficult to the following localities: Șerpeni, Baurci, Chircăiești, Tănătari, Taraclia, Ulmu, Condrița and Gavanoasa, and the road to Bașcalia was reopened only by 07.00 this morning, but it is blocked by traffic jams ", Premier Energy Distribution said.

The company warns people to show extreme caution and comply with electrical safety rules to avoid accidents.

"Inform the distribution operator about any incident as a matter of urgency on the phone number - 022-43-11-11 or at the local one, indicated in the bill", Premier Energy Distribution said.
