Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall has so far evacuated 95 kiosks which did not have documentation for placement.

In late 2020, the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) approved the regulation on the carrying out of the trade activity in the capital and the regulation on the organization of auctions for getting the right to sign a contract on the placement of mobile trade unit in the city. According to the two documents, the kiosks in the Chisinau municipality must have documents on placement.

The Chisinau municipal administration informed that, since the regulations’ adoption till present, it had evacuated 95 kiosks which did not have legal documents.

According to the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, ‘’the number of kiosks from parks was essentially cut and the new placements were won at auctions. The city hall is to conclude contracts with economic agents which won the auctions, so that they pay a half of the sum in installments. They will have right to commercialize during five years.

The local public administration presently considers the date when the fourth public auction is to be held, during which other locations for the placement of kiosks are to be proposed to economic agents. Following three auctions held in December, 2020 and January 2021, 39 trade places worth over 77 million lei were sold.
