Representatives of Moldova's oil products market to be heard in parliament

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament will organize public hearings on the price of fuels imported to Moldova. They will take place in the commission for economy, budget and finances on 3 February.

According to the commission, the reason for the hearings was the increase in prices for oil products, which took place in a concerted way. Representatives of oil products market, competent authorities and civil society will be invited to the hearings.

Following the discussions, a decision is to be taken, either to set up an inquiry commission, or to amend the legislative framework, in order to remove the likelihood of abuses in the sector.

In the last month, the fuels’ prices grew significantly.
