Moldovan authorities say ways of access to two border crossing points snowed up

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/ - The ways of access to the border crossing points Palanca and Tudora are snowed up and transport means’ movement is difficult. The authorities reiterate the urge to the citizens to postpone travels, if they do not represent an urgency.
According to the Border Police, presently, more special vehicles are involved in clearing snow from roads. Also, the border police from the adjacent sectors, as well as other Interior Ministry’s structures joined the employees of the Drumuri (Roads) stock company.
According to the quoted source, the people who were accommodated at the headquarters of the Palanca border crossing point, as well as the at the ones of Todora-1, because of the bad weather, are provided with the movement on the de-blocked road between the settlements Tudora, Crocmaz and Olanesti, with exit to the main road R-30, where they subsequently can continue their travel to Chisinau.
The suppler of electric energy, Premier Energy Distribution, informed that the power supply had been reestablished in the overwhelming majority of the settlements hit by the bad weather. Presently, there are still problems of delivery of electricity in four villages of the Anenii Noi, Stefan Voda, Cahul and Leova districts. Sixty seven operative intervention teams are involved in the works of re-establishment of power supply.
