Traffic takes place in winter conditions in Moldova

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/ - Roadmen today continued works of combating the glazed frost and clearing of snow in the regions where sleet and snow was registered. Presently, the traffic takes place in winter conditions all over Moldova, the State Administration of Roads (ASD) has reported.   

According to the institution, in the last ours, the territorial units of the Drumuri (Roads) stock company carried out works of clearing snow and combating the glazed frost with 152 special vehicles and involvement of 193 road workers.

„The accessibility of the road infrastructure was reestablished on the national roads  R30 Anenii Noi – Causeni – Stefan Voda – border with Ukraine and R31 R30-Tudora-Palanca-border with Ukraine. At present, because of the bad weather conditions, the traffic is partially closed on seven national public roads,’’ ASD said.  

The territorial units of the Drumuri sock company continue interventions for reestablishing the movement and evacuation of vehicles at risk, involving additional hard vehicles in the technological process. Roadmen, rescuers of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations and employees of the General Police Inspectorate from the territory carry out joint works for reestablishing the traffic accessibility on all national roads of Moldova.   

ASD warns drivers not to set out without strict need and be informed about the traffic situation of the road on which they are to move, complying with the provisions of the road traffic regulation in force as to the vehicle’s endowment with proper winter tyres and permanent adaptation of speed in the present traffic conditions. The participants in the traffic ask for roadmen’s intervention in case of blockage on national roads at the active phone numbers in the non-stop regime: 22-55-30; 74-89-61; 060 477 117.

Today, the State Hydrometeorological Service lifted the Orange and Yellow Codes of complicated weather conditions. In the next 24 hours, the air temperature is to decrease to -10 Celsius degrees at night and on 29 January, the air temperature is to grow to +5 degrees, with no precipitation, variable cloud, with sunny intervals.
