10:45 | 29.01.2021 Category: Official

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/- Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi today sent a message on Prosecutor's Office Workers Day, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The message says:

"It is 29 years since the founding of the institution of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Moldova - a body acting as a pillar of statehood. From 1992 until now, through their daily work and a deep sense of duty, prosecutors have contributed, with well-known exceptional periods to the administration of justice, having a major role in ensuring the rule of law.

It is true that, since independence, our country has been in ongoing process of reforming public institutions, including the Prosecutor's Office. We must make joint efforts to raise standards of justice at European level. A difficult but necessary process. Because society's expectations are growing, I count on your professionalism, skills and dedication to put the law at the head of the table and restore people's trust in the Prosecutor's Office.

Dear employees of the Prosecutor's Office and veterans of this institution,

On this occasion, I want to wish you good wishes, prosperity, courage, objectivity in decisions and determination. Thank you for your work in carrying out your duties. I express my gratitude especially to those who, despite all the difficulties faced, have dedicated themselves sincerely, impartially and loyally to the profession of prosecutor.

I urge you to focus from now on respecting and defending the rights and freedoms of the citizen. And don't forget that above all is the honor and love of country and citizens.

Have outstanding achievements in professional and personal life! ”
