Over 650 municipal service employees take measures to combat icy roads in Chisinau

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall announces that today the municipal services will work in an increased regime to combat icing on the sidewalks and in the yards of apartment buildings.

According to the information, starting from 05:00, 35 special units are involved, 88 tons of anti-skid material are spread and 415 workers are involved in the snow removal of the waiting stations, on pedestrian crossings and in places of common use of blocks of flats.

EXDRUPO company intervened with 41 machines during the night to clean the arteries where public transport runs, as well as access roads to the suburbs. Road workers will continue the work during the day in difficult areas.

In this context, the Chisinau city hall asks economic agents and real estate managers to clear their territories adjacent to the spaces they manage, and the cleaned snow not to be thrown on the roadway.
