Acting PM's message on 30th anniversary of National Olympic Committee

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/- Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi today sent a congratulatory message on the 30th anniversary of the National Olympic and Sports Committee, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The message says:

"On the occasion of the beautiful anniversary of the National Olympic and Sports Committee, on behalf of the government, I congratulate the Olympic Movement of the Republic of Moldova: athletes, coaches, doctors, journalists, sports managers.

You have represented the country with great dignity in international competitions, being true sports ambassadors of the country, contributing to the propagation of a positive image of the state abroad. In this context, under the global pandemic I want to say that the government has been, is and will be a reliable partner for the Olympic Movement and will support sports performance within activity programs.

Dear members of the Olympic and Sports Committee,

Thank you for your work to raise performance standards to the highest peaks and for proudly bearing the responsibility to keep the sport as an art. 

I am convinced we will soon celebrate new victories of Moldovan athletes at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo, due on 23 July 2021, when we will support the national team with the traditional slogan Come on, Moldova.

Congratulations on 30 years of excellence in sports and national pride! ”
