About 300 applications submitted for subsidies in advance for developing rural settlements in Moldova

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/ - The territorial subdivisions of the Agency of Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA) on the period 2 November 2020 – 27 January 2021 received 280 applications with the overall value of investments planned of about 444.5 million lei and the sum of subsidies demanded is about 370 million lei.  

The data was made public while summing up the activities related to the appeal III of reception of the applications on requesting the subsidies in advance, for improving the living and labour standards in the rural environment.  

According to AIPA, 97 applications worth 173.2 million lei in all asked for subsidies in advance for the construction, rehabilitation, modernization of local public roads and bridges, as well as for the extension, rehabilitation and modernization of the systems of water supply, water-purification and sewerage – field of intervention related to the development of the rural public economic infrastructure.

„Another 175 applications amounting to 192.5 million lei demanded subsidies in advance for the restoration of local pedestrian streets, setting public illumination, restoration/rehabilitation of public buildings, zones for organizing markets, fairs, creating and endowing centres of care for children, elderly people and persons with special needs, creation of tourist itineraries – field of intervention related to the development or rural settlement,’’ the quoted source said.    

Also, to diversify the rural economy through non-agricultural activities (measure 3), eight applications on financing worth 3.7 million lei were submitted.
