Kindergartens from Moldovan capital to have same food menu as of 1 February

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/ - Then Public Health Centre and the Chisinau city hall’s Education, Youth and Sport General Department (DGETS) today approved a model menu for the nourishment of children from the Moldovan capital’s kindergartens.  

The single model menu will be implemented in all early education institutions starting from 1 February 2021, with the first week – first day of the single model menu. ‘’If there is Monday and ‘’fish dishes’’ is contained in the model menu, then the kindergartens should compulsorily give children this product. Fresh fruits should be served at the lunch. Thus, DGETS is set that the parents know these details about children’s nourishment and enhance the responsibility of kindergartens’ directors,’’ the DGETS deputy head, Andrei Pavaloi, said.    

The model menu is compiled for ten days, after which it is repeated, starting from the first day. The kindergartens must daily provide children’s meals with fresh fruits and vegetables; bread should be made of whole wheat flour and the daily quantity of packed pasta, fats and salt should be reduced.     

The menus will be the same in all kindergartens from Chisinau.
