As many as 653 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 30 January /MOLDPRES/- A number of 3,525 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 653 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which three import ones. As many as 158,860 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 33 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –9, medical assistants –12 and auxiliary staff -7.

As many as 2,294 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized, of whom 244 are in extremely serious condition (44 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 3,470 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 15,990 are under supervision at home.

Another 536 people have been treated. As many as 149,562 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 10 deaths caused by COVID-19 and 3,434 people have died of coronavirus in all.
